Date & Time: February 13th, 3:30am EST (8:30am UTC)

Number of Users: ~1700

Location: London, Ontario, Canada

Postal Codes: N6G,N5X,N6K,N6H,N5Y

Downdetector unfortunately did not pick up on the outage, despite the size and impact to customers. This is likely due to the fact that users were not awake to complain on social media. One of the limitations of using social media sentiment to detect outages is you need people to be awake 🙂

Netstats has the advantage of testing over 200,000 local networks in Canada directly 24×7, allowing us to detect outages without needing user feedback.
